Bread, Sourdough, 500g


Cottage Lane bread is handcrafted from the very best local and imported ingredients in the beautiful Wairarapa.


This bread is par-baked, so either re-freeze for use at a later date, or bake as follows:-


  • Preheat oven to180° and bake on a rack until golden - approx 20-23 minutes depending on your oven.


This sourdough is a moist, flavoursome loaf made using traditional fermentation methods. It has a thick golden crust and a deliciously soft centre.


The original bug for this sourdough originates from San Francisco, and comes from a family bakery dating back to the late 1800s. The bug itself was a strain that had been in the family since the 1940s. The bug is lovingly cared for and is fed flour and water twice a day, 365 days a year!


Not available on its own. Must be added to any other order, including the "Create Your Own Box" option.


    Frozen product. Can be re-frozen, or for best results, bake on a rack at 180° for 20-23 minutes (depending on your oven) or until golden.
