Ginger root, 250g

Imported ginger, approx weight 250g.  Can be stored in the freezer and grated from frozen. An essential ingredient in many Asian dishes, adding a lovely warmth and depth of flavour.

Ginger comes from a flowering plant (herb territory), but we use the root in cooking like a spice. It’s also been used in traditional medicine for centuries. We’re popping it in our herbs category because it's got serious herbal cred. But no judgment if you still call it a spice in your stir-fry.
