When Covid-19 came along, as people began to shop and order much more online, it changed the game for many of the national courier companies with the massive and unprecedented influx in volume they suddenly had to deal with.

In order to give you the service you deserve and to reflect our "support local" ethos, Eatlocal has teamed up with some fabulous family-run courier companies to deliver your fresh produce boxes.

As Eatlocal continues to grow, thanks to amazing customers like you, we are now busier than ever, packing more and more orders.

Looking after the Oxford/Darfield/West Melton/Sheffield/Springfield run, we are thrilled to have Oxford Couriers "on board" with us.

Graham and Lisa head up the family-run squad of a fleet of five vehicles and 6 staff.

They use a chiller van, especially for transporting fresh produce, and operate a same-day service direct to your door.

Run by husband-and-wife team Gary and Richelle, along with Gary's brother Brendan, they operate a prompt and reliable service throughout North Canterbury.

The AZAP Courier team

Last but not least, AZAP Couriers are another great family-run team criss-crossing every suburb of Christchurch carrying out same-day deliveries in a chilled truck so your produce gets to you as fresh as a daisy.

Having recently relocated to new, larger premises to accommodate their expansion, we are proud to work alongside them.

Going further afield, AZAP have a daily overnight service with a chilled truck to Dunedin and surrounds, Southland—as far south as Bluff—and Central Otago and surrounds.

For all other areas (ie West Coast, Marlborough, and rural addresses), we'll continue to use Parcelwings, who operate under the NZ Post umbrella.

We look forward to growing our relationships with these companies and expanding our delivery network further and wider.

Joanne Webb runs Eatlocal.nz, delivering premium, locally sourced fruit, veges, and artisan foods across the South Island. Passionate about supporting New Zealand growers, she personally packs every order to ensure quality and freshness. When she's not working on Eatlocal, you’ll find her walking her mini Schnauzer, Zac - or contemplating marathon training again!
