More Couriers For Us, Better Service For You!

Updated: May 5

When Covid-19 came along, as people began to shop and order much more online, it changed the game for a lot of the national courier companies with the massive and unprecedented influx in volume they suddenly had to deal with. In order to give you the service you deserve, and to reflect our "support local" ethos, Eatlocal have teamed up with some fabulous family-run courier companies to deliver your produce boxes.

As our own small business continues to grow, thanks to amazing customers like you, Eatlocal is now much busier packing more and more orders, so we have enlisted the help of Akaroa Freight to handle the Tuesday Governors Bay/Diamond Harbour run. The benefits to you are that you will get your order earlier in the day than when we were delivering it, and it will now come over the hill in a chilled truck!

Handling our Oxford/Darfield/West Melton/Sheffield/Springfield run we are thrilled to have Oxford Couriers "on board" with us. Graham and Lisa head up the family-run squad, with a fleet of five vehicles and 6 staff. They use a chilled van especially for transporting fresh produce, and run a same-day service direct to your door.

If you live anywhere from Woodend to Waiau, Hanmer Couriers are your new best friend. Run by husband and wife team Gary and Richelle, along with Gary's brother, Brendan, they operate a prompt and reliable service throughout North Canterbury.

Last but not least, AZAP Couriers are another great family-run outfit, who do same-day deliveries across every suburb of Christchurch in a chilled van. Looking further afield, they will also bring your boxes to you overnight in a chilled truck to Dunedin and surrounds, Southland - as far south as Bluff - and Central Otago and surrounds. AZAP will handle our urban address deliveries for us. For all other areas (ie West Coast, and rural addresses) for now, we'll continue to use our usual national courier.

We look forward immensely to growing our relationships with these new teams, and expanding our delivery network far and wide.
